Commissioning the artist "Tunney" for a Portrait.

 

Having a portrait done by Thomas Tunney can be one of the most satisfying and exciting moments. The painting shall be in the artists' style and technique shown on this website. Ownership in a piece of fine art that becomes more valuable through the years.

 

Price and terms are as follows:

 

Portrait Fees-

 

The Face, 12x16 $1,000

The Head and Shoulders, 16x20 - $2,500

Portrait, 24x30  - $5,000

Full Length Portrait, 30x40 - $9,000  (add $1,000 for each additional person)

Group Portrait, 36x48 - $15,000 (includes 3 people, add $1,000 for each add. person)

 

Terms:

-A non-refundable sitting/photograph session Fee of $200 will be charged. At that time the artist shall arrange the composition and lighting for the subject. The artist will then choose a group of photos that best fit his style of painting. From that group of photos, the client shall choose the final piece for the artist to work from. The client(s) will then sign the back of selected photograph upon acceptance of the final composition and terms, an agreement/work order shall be signed.

At that time, a 30% deposit shall be due and payable ( the artist shall not begin the piece until the deposit has been received ).

 

The balance shall be paid upon the completion of the piece and the ownership* of the original artwork shall then be turned over to the client. (*the artist shall have the right to use an image/copy of the artwork for any future books, marketing, and sales. In which case the artwork shall either have "Courtesy of the ___ Family" or "Private Collection").

 

The time-frame for the completion of the work depends on the size and complexity of the piece. This should be discussed with the artist at the initial meeting however, most paintings average from 2-4 months for completion.
